Sterilizable active RFID/RTLS asset tag

Awarepoint’s T2S active radio frequency identification (RFID) Real-time Location System (RTLS) asset tag is tested to endure standard steam autoclave cycles at temperatures up to 135 ºC, as well as immersion in the most common liquid sterilization methods, allowing sterilization process workflows to be remotely monitored. The AwarePoint system can alert appropriate staff (via email, pager or system reporting) if sterile protocol was compromised (e.g. equipment moves from one sterile area to the next before being processed).

Patient wristbands

Independent lab test results show Zebra’s patent-pending antimicrobial wristband coating effectively resists Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Type II, Type III and Type IV. The wristbands, available in infant, pediatric and adult sizes, continue to feature a topcoat layer that resists alcohol, water, foams, soaps and blood. Z-Band Direct antimicrobial-coated wristbands feature a tab closure that enhances ease of use, comfort and security. A new Infant Foam Wristband features comfortable, soft foam with a hook and loop Velcro closure.
