WellStar emerges at epicenter
of operational efficiency

During the last two fiscal years WellStar Health System’s supply chain team morphed into an integrated group striving for world-class status from a "fragmented and unsophisticated" function by taking ownership of the entire process through accountability and engagement, integrating with physicians and clinicians through active and in-depth value analysis projects and aligning its services with the organization’s eight clinical specialties, all of which earned them the 2011 Supply Chain Department of the Year by Healthcare Purchasing News.

To help cart-driving caregivers improve workflows and enhance patient care, manufacturers are rolling out a variety of advanced options.
