These german-engineered grab bars
feature a patented no drilling required mounting technology for tile,
natural stone, glass and metal. The grab bars combine the strength of a
high-performance, single-component commercial adhesive used in the auto
industry with a patented adapter to form a permanent bond on tile,
stone, glass, metal, concrete and brick. The system works on rough or
smooth surfaces and directly over grout lines. The mounting system is
designed to be reversible and can be removed with no damage to the
surface. Safety tested and rated at 250 lbs. |

Winco’s XL Padded Blood-Drawing Chairs
(2574/2575) feature a powder-coated steel-constructed frame that
provides strength and durability for bariatric use. A padded seat and
back provides exceptional patient comfort. Flip-up, contoured urethane
armrest provides easy access and added safety for the user, and is
height adjustable. Sturdy, high-impact leveling feet ensure a sturdy
chair on almost any surface. The 2574 model features a laminated cabinet
and drawer roller glides. |

The HoverMatt Air Transfer
System is an air-assisted lateral transfer and repositioning device that
reduces the force required to move a patient, allowing caregivers to
safely move patients without lifting or straining and providing patients
with a safer and more comfortable transfer. The Single-Patient Use
HoverMatt Air Transfer System is the disposable version of the
air-assisted lateral transfer and repositioning device. In the event of
a patient fall, the air-assisted HoverJack Air Patient Lift allows
caregivers to safely lift the patient from floor to bed/stretcher
height. |

The Adjustable Advantage
toilet seat expands to each user’s natural sitting position. Featuring
quick and easy installation with stainless steel mounting hardware,
Adjustable Advantage fits elongated and round toilet bowls with ease.
With six bumpers that are each over 2˝" wide, it is capable of
supporting up to 1,000 lbs. even when fully expanded. Rising 1˝" above
the rim in the front and 3" in the rear, its sloped angle and contoured
design improves posture and increases blood flow. Made of solid
polypropylene and weighing 5 lbs, the Adjustable Advantage Toilet Seat
is durable enough to withstand years of use and includes a lifetime
warranty. The stainless steel hinge disc plates are 2" wide and fully
integrated 4" into the seat base and 4" into the seat arms. |

The Prevalon Turn and Position System
helps prevent staff injuries resulting from turning patients and helps
protect patients in the ICU from sacral pressure ulcers, and is now
available in larger sizes for bariatric patients. The Prevalon XL/XXL
Turn and Position System assists healthcare workers with turning,
repositioning and boosting. It offloads the sacrum to help prevent
sacral pressure ulcers. The XL and XXL size systems are compatible with
wider hospital beds to help turn patients from 350 to 550 pounds. The
system’s Mattress Cover fits extra-wide mattresses and helps reduce
friction; the Low-Friction Glide Sheet moves with the patient to make
turning easier; disposable Microclimate Body Pad is placed under the
patient to manage heat and moisture; and two 30-Degree Body Wedges allow
easy positioning. |

The new Venodyne Premium Model 810 is a
comprehensive venous compression system to reduce the risk of Deep Vein
Thrombosis (DVT) without the risk of post-operative bleeding associated
with some drug therapies. The new Premium 810, builds on and enhances
two previous versions of the Venodyne system (610 and 710), to offer
additional features that improve patient comfort and enable providers to
treat a broader variety of patient needs. The battery-operated Venodyne
810 system features multiple sleeve styles that offer simultaneous leg
and foot compression and a softer layer inside and out for patient
comfort. The hook and loop system provides an alternative to the
traditional slip over sleeves, but retains the circumferential
compression making correct compression therapy easier. Bariatric leg and
foot sleeve options are available.

The Z-Slider is a simple safe patient
handling system that helps prevent disabling back injuries as a result
of lifting, transferring and repositioning patients. It supports proper
patient handling and ergonomic techniques and decreases physical strain
to back, shoulders, neck and arms. In addition to lowering costs
associated with back injuries (i.e. workers’ compensation,
administrative and nurse staffing), the Z-Slider complies with current
OSHA recommendations and "No Lift" Laws. The Z-Slider also helps
increases patient safety by minimizing the potential for patient
discomfort, skin tears, abrasions and bruising. It was designed for
single-patient use, thus eliminating the potential for cross
contamination.

The ECHELON FLEX Powered ENDOPATH Stapler
is a powered endocutter with enhanced system-wide compression and
stability. Powered ECHELON FLEX allows greater instrument stability with
at least 63% reduction in tip movement during tissue cutting and
stapling compared to the Endo GIA Ultra and the Endo GIA Universal. The
stapler delivers consistent, properly formed staples across the entire
length of the staple line by maintaining a uniform gap in the jaws from
the instrument’s proximal end to distal tip. Powered operation reduces
the force required to fire the instrument, which leads to less movement
of the tip on or near vital structures during transection potentially
resulting in less tissue trauma, even in thick tissue and at awkward
angles. Ergonomic handle design enables one-handed use. |

DETECTO’s new model DR660 portable scale provides mobile bariatric
weighing. The 21.5-in/56-cm wide platform accommodates broad stances
inherent in bariatric patients. The DR660’s weighing platform is only
2-in/5-cm high, requiring only a minimal step and features a non-skid
rubber mat for patient assurance and safety. Detecto’s DR660 features
660-lb/300-kg capacity, 1-in/25-mm high bold LCD readouts, RS232 serial
port for EMR/EHR connectivity, carrying handle, and rechargeable
built-in battery power. The HOLD key retains weight on the display after
a patient has stepped off the scale allowing patient attendance first
before recording measurements. |
