GHX honors Millennium Club Providers and Suppliers for transforming the healthcare supply chain

April 2, 2019

Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC has announced this morning the names of 43 healthcare provider and supplier organizations that the company named to its 2018 GHX Millennium Club, a program that celebrates organizations that are making significant progress in healthcare supply chain automation. The honorees, said GHX in its announcement, have generated at least one million automated transactions (including advanced order sets, among others) annually through the GHX Exchange, characterizing a willingness and dedication to becoming an advanced, technology-enabled supply chain as it shifts from a volume- to value-based care delivery provider.

Millennium Club honorees were selected by GHX based on an evaluation of the supply chain automation levels in 2018 of more than 1,500 hospitals and suppliers in the U.S. and Canada currently connected to the GHX Exchange. According to the announcement, a significant percentage of both providers (44 percent) and suppliers (63 percent) recognized this year have received this honor for four consecutive years and that both providers and suppliers use the automated supply chain more extensively than ever before. GHX said supply chain transactions for providers increased by more than 40 percent since 2015 and by more than 30 percent for suppliers during that same timeframe.
