After carefully monitoring the course of COVID-19 and its potential for continued impact on travel and social distancing, AORN has decided to move the Global Surgical Conference & Expo 2021 in Orlando from April 2021 to August 7-11, 2021, according to an AORN statement.
They continued:
Due to the unpredictability of this virus, we believe this change is necessary to better assure the health and safety of all participants. We also hope for an effective vaccine and expect this extension will allow more time for its manufacture and distribution.
As your partner, we wanted you to have news of this change immediately to support your planning strategies for 2021. We are all looking forward to a very well attended conference in 2021 as our members have told us they are especially excited to come together after this year's cancellation.
Logistics:
- Expo Hall: Open August 8-10, 2021
- Booth selection: Expo will move from the OCCC West Building to the OCCC South Building and new booth selections will be necessary. We anticipate having more details in July.
