HPN affiliation, Globus Relief, receives perfect rating from charity evaluator

In March 2019, Globus Relief achieved a perfect score from Charity Navigator, considered the nation’s largest independent charity evaluator. The perfect 100 rating that Globus Relief – an organization that HPN works with and supports – now joins an elite list of “Charities with Perfect Scores” and one of only 65 of the 9,000- plus charities evaluated by Charity Navigator. Globus aims to improve the delivery of healthcare worldwide by gathering, processing and distributing surplus medical and health supplies to charities at home and abroad.

·  Globus Relief gives aid and assistance to the following:

·  Animal Welfare

·  Community Health Centers

·  Dental Care/Treatment

·  Disability Services

·  Education

·  Free Clinic

·  Homeless Support Services

·  Medical Mission Teams

·  Medical Vocational Training

·  Nursing Programs

·  Refugee Care

Charity Navigator’s ratings methodology includes metrics on Financial Health and Accountability & Transparency (governance, ethical practices and openness with donors). Globus Relief earned perfect scores in both of these categories, translating to a 100-point overall score. The perfect score also continued Globus Relief’s 11-year history of 4-star ratings.

“Globus Relief’s exceptional 4-star rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public,” said Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator, in yesterday’s news release. “Only a quarter of charities rated by Charity Navigator receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. This adds Globus Relief to a preeminent group of charities working to overcome our world’s most pressing challenges. Based on its 4-star rating, people can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical charity when they decide to support Globus Relief.”
