Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition Voluntarily Recalls Certain Nutramigen Hypoallergenic Infant Formula Powder

Nutramigen is a hypoallergenic infant formula that is used by infants with allergies to cow’s milk

On Dec. 31, 2023, the FDA issued an alert thatReckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition voluntarily recalled certain Nutramigen Hypoallergenic Infant Formula Powder products due to possible Cronobacter sakazakii contamination.

As of Dec. 31, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall. According to the FDA, it is most likely that the majority of the product that was distributed in the U.S. has already been consumed. For those consumers who have the product with the identified batch codes, the agency reccomends to stop using it and throw it away or contact Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition for a refund.
