Meditech Trade Fair returns in 2020

Meditech trade fair will return to Corferias in Bogotá, Colombia July 14 – 17, 2020. Online exhibitor registration is open.

The event is organized by the International Business and Exhibition Center, Corferias, the Colombian Association of Hospitals and Clinics-ACHC and Messe Düsseldorf, organizer of Medica international trade show for the health sector.

Andrea Díaz Kowalski, Project Manager of Meditech, stated, “Meditech is powered by Messe Düsseldorf’s “MEDICAlliance” portfolio of medical trade fairs. With the signing of the strategic alliance with Messe Dusseldorf to co-organize the trade fair, the international reach of Meditech has increased and so has the participation of foreign companies as well as the innovations and technologies on display. The 2020 edition of Meditech will offer a platform to generate business and learn about the current trends in the health sector. It will be a showcase for technology launches in the medical industry.”

In 2020, Meditech will increase the exhibit space to 75,300 square feet and the organizers expect more than 300 exhibitors and 11,000 professional visitors to participate. Exhibit categories will include medical, surgical, laboratory, orthopedic, rehabilitation and physiotherapy equipment, hospital construction and furniture as well as software, IT and services related to the industry, waste management and hospital management consulting. The exhibits will be complemented by the Center of Experience of High Technology for Hospitals (CEATH) and the International Congress of Hospitals and Clinics.

With nearly 50 million inhabitants Colombia is the world’s third largest Spanish-speaking country, Latin America’s third largest population, and the region’s fourth largest economy measured by GDP. Colombia’s market for medical technology is the fourth largest in Latin America, importing more than 85% of the medical.
