May 15, 2025
According to a May 15 press release, at the organization’s annual summit, Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) introduced a set of new tools aimed at strengthening the healthcare supply chain in response to increasing fragility and order delays, which have risen by 31% compared to pre-COVID levels. These capabilities use advanced data science and generative AI to help organizations become more proactive and resilient in managing supply chain disruptions.
Key features include:
- GHX Resiliency Center: A tool that prioritizes and manages backorders based on clinical and operational impact, helping teams find suitable alternatives before disruptions affect patient care.
- GHX Conversational Dynamic Reporting: A reporting tool that enables users to create custom reports through an interactive interface, with a GenAI-powered conversational feature expected by late 2025 to allow natural language queries.
- GHX Perfect Order Co-Pilot: A GenAI assistant that analyzes supply chain workflows, identifies performance issues, and offers actionable recommendations to improve efficiency.
These tools are set to be generally available in North America by July 2025, with additional features expected by the end of this year.
