The Michigan Society of Healthcare Central Service Professionals (MSHCSP) announced it will close and dissolve after failing to fill several essential board positions, according to a statement from its board of directors.

The decision comes despite a recent effort that increased membership from five to 103 professionals and produced two free hands-on workshops and an annual meeting. The board cited declining interest in volunteer leadership, changing networking preferences, and wider access to continuing education as contributing factors.
