MEDICA, a global medical trade fair being held from November 14 – 17, 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany, has launched digital, English-language discussion rounds called “MEDICA DEEP DIVE".

The discussion rounds are intended as a “warm-up” for targeted content preparation for participation in the trade fair. The discussions will focus on particularly relevant trend topics in the healthcare sector in the run-up to MEDICA. The event starts on September 22 with the topic “Diagnostics of Infectious Diseases,” which will focus on current innovations and developments in the field of point-of-care diagnostics.

This will be followed by the topics “Artificial Intelligence/ Big Data in Medical Applications” (October 13) and “Smart Hospital” (November 3). The moderated online panel discussions will present expert knowledge from industry, clinical practice and science live in 45-minute segments and can be streamed on the industry portal www.medica-tradefair.com.

Currently MEDICA is expecting more than 3,500 exhibiting companies, exceeding 2021 levels with medical products including laboratory technology and diagnostics, medical technology and medical electronics (imaging and diagnostic/ medical equipment and devices), supplies and consumables, physiotherapy and orthopedic technology as well as IT systems and IT solutions. In addition to the advanced program planning, technical upgrades will also ensure the best conditions for MEDICA 2022 and COMPAMED 2022. In the first half of 2022, the entire Düsseldorf fairgrounds and congress center was equipped with HEPA filters.
