New CoV19 prognostic screening tool offered free of charge in response to COVID-19 threats

June 18, 2020

909 Healthcare, Inc. announced the release of the CoV19 prognostic screening tool to address the extraordinary threats presented by COVID-19.

In collaboration with George Mason University, 909 Healthcare was created to develop and offer, free of charge, an evidenced-based prognostic screening tool for COVID-19 to assist healthcare systems, healthcare suppliers and employers in other industries resume business operations more safely.

With a predictive accuracy rate of 79%, CoV19 is a probability assessment that provides early and accurate evaluation of an individual’s likelihood of contracting active COVID-19 and differentiates between influenza and influenza-like illnesses for both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals.

COVID-19 challenges include:

· Currently, there is limited ability to accurately identify the COVID-19 virus based on known symptoms

· Asymptomatic individuals are even more problematic to identify potential transmission to others

· Inadequate number of reliable COVID-19 tests makes it impractical and costly to test every person within a community as often as necessary

“When implemented, CoV19 can serve as a vanguard to diagnostic lab testing and as a first line of defense to accurately identify high risk individuals, whether symptomatic or asymptomatic, preventing rampant transmission,” explained George England, President and CEO of 909 Healthcare. “There simply will not be enough accurate and reliable diagnostic tests to screen everyone in America as often as necessary,” he continued.

“By allowing organizations, companies and healthcare providers to classify all individuals by potential risk of infection, CoV19 prioritizes the need for further testing. We want to do our part to help facilitate an individual’s safe re-entry into their workplace and community,” Mr. England concluded.

“I am thrilled that 909 Healthcare agreed to help us develop this important COVID-19 screening tool and provide it at no charge to any organization that would like to use it,” explained Farrokh Alemi, Professor Dept. of Health Adm. & Policy School of Health Sciences George Mason University “To my knowledge, this is the only method of community monitoring that works in all seasons and for all types of expression of symptoms,” he concluded.
