Amazon has launched Amazon Care, described as a virtual primary care clinic for their employees. The program includes an option for nurses to visit employees. The story was first announced by CNBC.
The program that was announced on the Amazon web site, Amazon.care, is currently publicly accessible. The Amazon website describes the new platform described “as a new benefit for employees that offers the best of both virtual and in-person care.”
The program is described as:
· No more waiting for high-quality virtual care;
· In person visits at your home or office
· Prescriptions delivered to your door
Amazon Care is a benefit being piloted for Amazon employees and their families.
According to CNBC, healthcare represents a $3.5 trillion sector for Amazon.
