The Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) is now accepting candidate applications for three healthcare provider seats and one affiliate seat for terms beginning January 1, 2021. The application deadline is Friday, May 29, 2020. Voting for the 2020 Election will be from July 27 through August 10, 2020.
Board Qualifications:
All AHRMM members interested in becoming Board candidates must be professionals in the healthcare supply chain field and meet the following additional requirements for their respective position(s):
· A person interested in running for an AHRMM Board seat must meet the following requirements:
· Be an AHRMM member in good standing.
· A person interested in running for the AHRMM Chair-Elect seat must meet the following requirements:
· Be an AHRMM member in good standing for the last two consecutive years.
· Be a Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) and/or Fellow (FAHRMM).
· Have completed one year of a board term as an AHRMM Board Member prior to self-nominating.
If an AHRMM Board Member resigns, is removed, or dies, the appointed Board Member must be on the board for at least one year before self-nominating for Chair-Elect. The appointed AHRMM Board Member can also run for the AHRMM Board when their appointed term is completed. There is no time limit to being off the board to self-nominate for the Chair-Elect position.
Eligibility to serve as Chair, Chair-Elect, or Past Chair remains in office if that member changes jobs and becomes a vendor, contractor, or consultant. Retirement and/or unemployment would not make a candidate ineligible as Chair; Chair-Elect; or Past Chair.
2020 Election Schedule
· March 11, 2020 AHRMM Elections open.
· Through May 2020 Nominating Committee to seek nominations for AHRMM Board seats.
· May 29, 2020 Biographical information for Board Member candidates due at AHRMM headquarters.
· June 5, 2020 Nominating Committee to name final Board Member nominees.
· June 12, 2020 Biographical information for Chair-Elect candidates due at AHRMM headquarters.
· June 26, 2020 Board Member candidate flyers and videos due to AHRMM headquarters.
· June 26, 2020 Nominating Committee to name final Chair-Elect candidates.
· July 25, 2020 Chair-Elect candidates present platform to AHRMM Board.
· July 27, 2020 Voting open to AHRMM members for two (2) weeks.
· August 25, 2020 Notification of Elected Board Members and Chair-Elect.
