Oracle Announces New AI-Powered Capabilities to Help Strengthen Supply Chain

Oracle has announced new AI-powered capabilities within its Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications suite to “help healthcare organizations strengthen and streamline supply chain operations.” PR Newswire has the release.

The new inventory management and procurement capabilities are meant to “help supply chain professionals leverage AI to better support patient care by simplifying healthcare processes, automating workflows, reducing costs, and providing real-time visibility into medical supplies.”

A new solution called Oracle Fusion Cloud Advanced Inventory Management includes several tools to help improve logistics coordination for healthcare organizations. Some of them include “AI-driven inventory automation…to help optimize stock levels, prevent stockouts of critical items such as PPE, trigger replenishment actions, and automate routine inventory tasks;” “robotic material handling integration;” and “streamlined task assignment and execution.”

Other features of the solution include “suggested put-away locations;” “simplified inventory transactions;” “real-time cross-docking alerts;” and “load-based shipment grouping.”

There are also new capabilities meant to improve healthcare organizations’ procurement processes, including “enhanced requisition processes;” “streamlined purchase orders;” “automated lead times;” and “seamless system integration.”
