Bellwether League Foundation 2021 forum to explore future of healthcare supply chain

July 7, 2021

The Bellwether League Foundation is inviting everyone participating in the healthcare supply chain profession and industry to gain a glimpse of the emerging post-pandemic landscape to gauge if they’re ready to meet new challenges as they surface at its 2021 virtual Healthcare Supply Chain Leadership Forum: Supply Chain Leaders: Are you ready for what’s next?

Bellwether League Foundation is scheduled to host the forum, the 8th in an ongoing annual series, on July 28, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Central. The event will feature a “live” chat with speakers.

The pandemic and healthcare’s response to it has cast a spotlight on the healthcare supply chain as a strategic asset, while demanding closer working relationships between supply chain, clinicians, finance, and suppliers. As the pandemic moves forward, this forum will bring together some of healthcare’s sharpest minds to explore a multitude of questions, including:

·    How can supply chain leverage its newfound prominence to secure its long-term position as not only a key player in emergency preparedness but also in the move to a more patient-centric, value-based health system?

·     What is the current status of supply chain leadership and succession planning?

·     How can supply chain and clinicians work more closely with finance executives, moving beyond the historic focus on unit price paid to support improved financial outcomes driven by reliable, high-quality patient care?

The following experts will explore how supply chain leaders can advance organizational and system performance while delivering optimal health for patients and populations in a financially sustainable manner:
