Cardiology device reprocessing

The first U.S. patent for a microlumen reprocessing technology, granted to Innovative Health, Inc., can help advance reprocessing of single-use cardiology medical devices and ensure patient safety. The patent covers a novel test method for identifying subvisible occluding particles in microlumens and safe reprocessing of complex electrophysiology devices containing microlumens. The method currently is used for reprocessing of the Reprocessed PentaRay Nav Eco High-Density Mapping Catheter (Biosense Webster), the Reprocessed Advisor HD Grid Mapping Catheter and the Reprocessed BRK Transseptal Needle (St. Jude Medical), and the Reprocessed NRG Transseptal Needle (Baylis Medical).

Remote patient monitoring

ZyterHome, announced by Zyter, is a comprehensive remote patient monitoring (RPM) solution for providers and doctors to care for patients who are able to participate in their own care and actively manage, monitor, and track their health conditions remotely. Using patient-facing 4G-enabled devices to remotely monitor physiologic parameters, ZyterHome also can help patients reduce their exposure risk to COVID-19 and the flu, as visits to check vital signs now can occur remotely. If a consult is required, the physician can schedule and conduct a virtual telehealth visit from within the system.
