Steve Bodily has been named chief supply chain officer for the Duke University Health System, effective Oct. 1. He brings more than 20 years of leadership experience driving large-scale supply chain operations in healthcare, higher education, and global enterprises.

Before joining Duke, Bodily led a $3 billion enterprise-wide supply chain overhaul at the Medical University of South Carolina. His career also includes top roles at Bon Secours Mercy Health, Tenet Healthcare, and the U.S. Air Force, managing multi-billion-dollar spend portfolios and global logistics networks.

Under Bodily’s leadership, Duke aims to further strengthen digital capabilities, supply resilience, and strategic sourcing, while maintaining mission-driven patient care and research.

The announcement also acknowledged Bill Trofi, who served as interim leader of procurement and supply chain for over two years. Trofi will return to his role as associate vice president of sourcing and procurement.
