Hartford HealthCare, Healthcare Purchasing News’ 2026 Supply Chain Department of the Year, is featured in the cover story of HPN’s June/July 2026 issue. The Connecticut-based health system was honored last week at the Healthcare Supply Chain Technology Summit at Northeastern University in Boston.

During the event, HPN Head of Content Daniel Beaird moderated a discussion with Hartford HealthCare leaders Milrose Mercado, Senior Vice President of Supply Chain & Support Services; Dan Pak, Vice President of Procure-to-Pay; and Ryan Donahue, Senior Director of Procure-to-Pay. The panel explored the organization’s enterprise-wide approach to supply chain leadership, innovation, and performance improvement.

Hartford HealthCare delivered strong results in 2025, negotiating more than 4,500 contracts, executing 373 enterprise initiatives across 30 teams, achieving $91.4 million in cost reductions, and directing $556.1 million in spend to local suppliers.
