The Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium invites you to the 2020 Mark McKenna Lecture and symposium

This year’s 2020 Mark McKenna Lecture speaker is Susan Dentzer, and she will provide and her lecture topic is Health Care Without Walls, Opportunities and Challenges for a Distributed Health Care System.

Dentzer is one of the nation's most respected health and health policy thought leaders and a frequent commentator on television and radio, including PBS and NPR. She is the lead author of the book Health Care Without Walls: A Roadmap for Reinventing U.S. Health care. Her current work focuses on modernizing the healthcare system through the use of greater virtual care. For more information about the lecture visit here.

She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine) and also serves on the Board on Population Health and Public Health Practice of the National Academies of Science, Medicine, and Engineering. She is also an elected member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

The event will be held on February 27, 2020, at ASU. With registration beginning at 5:00 - 5:30 PM, Lecture at 5:30 - 7:00 PM, and a reception following at 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Space is limited.

The Symposium on Innovation in the Health Sector is an annual event at Arizona State University in the W.P. Carey School of Business, Department of Supply Chain Management, with guidance from the Mark McKenna Lecture Committee. The Symposium will precede the lecture from 1 pm till 5:00. The Mark McKenna Foundation funds the Symposium and the annual lecture. The foundation was created to recognize Mark McKenna’s contributions to the development of the field of health sector supply chain. Mark, in his role as President of Novation (1998-2006), was a 2004 founding member of the Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium (HSRC-ASU) and a continuous supporter of bringing academia and industry partners together to solve major problems across the health sector supply chain.

The Annual Mark McKenna Lecture brings key innovators and thought leaders in healthcare to Arizona State University to speak on current healthcare issues and highlight the importance of the supply chain in improving organizational performance and clinical practice.
